Basic airport. Great location to begin or end an adventure in East Africa. Handles both domestic and international. Pretty smooth process overall, lots of waiting area. One thing worth noting is there is a double security screening process - one to get to the checkin counters and the other to get inside the waiting area. Free luggage carr’s is always nice !

It's a Basic airport but it's a long wait they are not fast to get you through if you are hoping to get food tho then don't worry as there is just one plans and I would recommend eat before you come but over all its a nice airport

The airport is tiny, and is generally organized. The staff are friendly. Immigration process could be faster. The absence of jet bridges guarantees great views of the aircraft on the apron.

Airport is very small, I haven’t seen any flight besides ours. In the duty free area there is small cafe and some shops for souvenirs and stuff. More or less prices are okayish.

Kilimajaro International Airport is the Gateway to Tanzania's National parks. Arrived from Addis Ababa. We disembarked by stairs and were escorted across the apron to the counters and had  our Yellow  Fever vaccinations checked. No vaccination no entry. After that we proceeded to the arrival hall where a senior immigration official who was polite and friendly directed the pax either to the immigration counters for those who had visas or did not require one. For those of us who qualified for visa on arrival, filled out a simple form and got our visas issued and proceeded directly to baggage collection and through customs. Once clear, we proceeded out to be met by our travel agent. For departure, the check in can be a little hectic. Suggest you arrive early as the area is not very large.
Overall a pleasant experience with good facilities and polite and helpful staff.

A lesser known and visited park, Mkomazi nonetheless can be a great option for 2-3 nights for the right guests. The landscape is amazing, surrounded by mountains, and you often feel like you're the only ones in the park as there are very few visitors compared to other National Parks in northern Tanzania.

The animals are a bit more spread out and skittish (except for giraffes), but that can be attributed to the fact that this land was a hunting reserve until about 20 years ago -- it takes time for the animals to forget.

The rhino experience, available for an extra fee, is worth doing if you have an extra day.

The newest national park in Tanzania. The staff is very welcoming and the park in itself is quaint. You’ll meet very few tourists. The rhino sanctuary was amazing, managed to get as close to the rhinos as humanely possible. Overall recommend, in case you dont want to go through the touristy Serengeti experience.

Next Stop Tanzania has made its visit there over the weekend. The stay was marvelous. The camping and bonfire is extraordinary. Food, security was perfect. There are good guides, nice and warm welcoming reception. The ranger made people to be in safe condition, good explanations of the guide. It was a memorable. People enjoyed indeed

Gorgeous park with amazing landscapes and lots of animals. The mass tourism hasn't arrived here yet therefore animals are not used to people, not many roads, basically no infrastructure. We had great times here, will be remembered.
